CENTRE FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (CCD)

CCD is a non-profit voluntary organization working in Gajapati District of Odisha State, India working for the socio-economic empowerment of the tribals, disadvantaged and vulnerable sections of the communities prioritizing on women, children and persons with disabilities since 1992. The focus areas of CCD is Natural Resource Management & Sustainable Livelihood promotion, water & sanitation, Reproductive Child Health, Women Empowerment & Promotion of Micro Entreprenuership, Child Rights, Good Governance, Community Based Rehabilitation of Persons with Disability.

Rally to prevent female feoticide

CCD has organized a peaceful rally to prevent female feoticide. A meeting was organized inviting the Doctors, pethologists, lawyers, women leaders, studetns and media personnel to have a dialogue to prevention measures for female feoticide. Debate competition was also held at JITM (Centurian university and women's college, Paralakhemundi. The winners have awarded with prizes.

Demonstration of Radish under RKVY - 2012-13 supported by OTELP in Gumma Block (Extension Areas

CCD has implemented RKVY 2012-13 in OTELP Extension areas of Gumma Block with convergence of RKVY.

District Legal Services Authority in collaboration with CCD has organized International Womens Day.

Orientation to community on livelihood promotion through convergence

CCD has organized sensitization program to the community on livelhood promotion through convergence at Luara village of Gumma Block. Mr. Kalyan Kumar Rath, PA., ITDA, Gajapati has particiated and addressed on different options on livelihood promotion.

with the support of RKVY - 2012-13, the farmers have demonstrated intercropping of cabbage with radish and tomato at Sindiba village of Gumma Block


Mother Chick unit

CCD has established 2 nos of mother chick units at Tohojung and U.Abasing of Gumma Block supported by ITDA under SCA to TSP.

Orientation to SHG members for livelhood promotion and micro enterprise promotion

CCD has been organizing orientation programs for women SHG members to strengthen their savings & credit activities as well as emphasizing them for financial inclusion.
